cvansickle
The Burstbucker Pros in my LP Vintage Mahogany have gone microphonic on me. They've started to squeal like Ned Beatty! The feedback is uncontrollable. So, what are some good replacements? I've swapped out pickups in lots of guitars over the years, but before I trust my own instincts I want to hear some fresh ideas. Maybe somebody has a good suggestion I haven't thought about yet. I like the basic sound of the Burstbucker Pros okay, but I would prefer something with less compression. Thanks in advance! deepblue
How do pups turn microphonic? Isnt the wax dipping suppose to prevent that?
tazzboy
Did you buy the guitar new? if so, then it's still under the limited lifetime warranty and there is a chance Gibson might let your authorize Gibson Service Center replace the pickups with new at no charge for you?
