compo
Went in my local shop yest and had a look at an old battered V, the owner said that its a 74 but was in a fire (1982 musical exchanges in Birmingham) and had the neck replaced with a Marauder neck and refinished with the body sn stamped under the marauder sn. Its going for £500 and was wondering if this is a fair price?
Space Pup
Somethings not corect here. The Marauder was a bolt on neck "les Paul" type guitar and Gibson has never made a V with a bolt on neck. Either the V body was routed to acomadate the bolt on neck or the body is not a Gibson V. I would stay away from it. PLease see an earlier post on this forum about a regular head on a Flying V.
