Jim Bowman
a 1948 LG1 guitar? The lower bout is 14 1/8 inches. I've tried classical and folk sizes but the fit didn't suit me. I can't seem to find a 00 size which someone suggested.
AlanC
I just bought a case for a very recently acquired 1948 ES-150. Its case is falling apart and not suitable for transporting the guitar anywhere. In the end, my luthier contacted Gibson with the guitar measurements and they sent him a case. Have to say that its a perfect fit. Its a Gibson Custom case similar to the one I have for my L5CES. Probably worthwhile to send the measurements to Gibson. However the Custom cases are not cheap. Jim Bowman
I believe an old Martin 0 size case would fit. I just tried my dad's Martin 00 size case and it was about an inch too wide at the upper bout. Would be interested in any case with a 14 1/8 inch upper bout.
