ABR-1 conversion and new pickguard (new pics)

i thought the ABR-1 bridge would mate better with the narrow Gotoh aluminum tailpiece, the wider Nashville bridge just did not look right. also gives a more vintage look with the thumb wheels more prominent. WD Music supplied the custom pickguard. they currently have a two week turnaround. i went with 3-ply b/w/b for a cleaner look.

I don't get it... my SG is the lightest guitar I own! I would never swap out the original parts for something else. 3 ounces? Are you incredibly skinny? Plus I seriously doubt anyone would notice 3 ounces.. welt I wouldn't at least. But I love the look of this guitar...except the tailpiece. It's too squared off for me.

heh, you're right about the boxy-ness, i never even noticed that.

but i do notice the weight difference... every ounce saved makes it easier on my bad back.
