Number one on the day I was born was Elton John and Kiki Dee, don't go breaking my heart. Not a bad little tune but not my cuppa. What was number one in the day you where born and do you like it?

In case you don't already know, I looked this up...

(funny, when I typed Kiki into my phone it tried to change it to Milo, given the D and Dee connection I found that amusing. Could this stick as a new nick name for Milo? )

"Where Is Your Heart" (from Moulin Rouge)- Percy Faith & Orchestra (May, 1953)

That's been my favorite song ever since. [flapper][blink]

1970 - Rain Drops Keep Fallin’ On My Head - B . J Thomas

Dorky song but I like the attitude of the lyrics.

Great Bacharach/David song, evocative and perfect in the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid....

Yeah, same here. It was a song I have heard once too often and didn't like it any time I ever heard it.

.

Where Is Your Heart (Song from Moulin Rouge) - Percy Faith . . . . Hmmm . . . . It was the theme song from the "Moulin Rouge" movie which starred Jose Ferrer as Toulouse-Lautrec who frequented the "Moulin Rouge" brothel. Ouch! . . . Sam Cooke did a version, but nothing to cheer about. Down the road in the 60s in 70s, this song was featured on many muzak recordings. Welp, that's nothing to write home about. <_<

Interesting topic though.

It's Now or Never - Elvis 8-27-60. Apache by the Shadows on the UK chart... my gf was Sunshine Superman 8-30-66.

Thought Donovan was awful growing up but over the past few years I've grown to appreciate him.

Luckily the site goes back far enough for me, 1946. I thought maybe the top song would be Og and Mog "Pounding on a Log With Sticks" but it was Sinatra "Five Minutes More".
