Traditional X Standard

Main differences in Les Paul Models:

1. electronics (pots and wiring)

2. pickups (too many variations to list)

3. neck profiles, 60's slim taper, '50's rounded, new asymetrical.

4. binding around headstock on some, no binding on Studio's

5. weight relieved, (holes or chambered). I believe the Standard is chambered and the Traditional is weight relieved.

I believe the main differences between the Standard and the Tradional are the necks,(from 2008 to present, asymetrical on the Standard) the Chambering (Standard) and the Weight-Relief (Traditional).

The necks on the Traditional used to be available in both 50's and 60's profiles right around the time the 2008 Standard came out.

Also, a Standard or Tradional "Plus" means a figured top, and not solid Gold or Ebony

Good info here. Thanks to R9
