Tim Plains
How many Les Paul forums do we need...I mean really?? I'm a member here, mylespaul.com and lespaulforum.com. So, there's a new one, too...LPC; which, I won't be joining. No offense LPC Admin, I'm sure it's a great place and all, but I don't need a fourth. Actually, I don't even need a third. LPF is losing my interest. I also tried GT, but it didn't catch with me. Gibson Forums is defininetely my favorite. Second is MLP. How many more are there? The LPC is just a small group of us who have been hanging out for years. It's kind of a consolidation of people from a few forums. The only three forums that I even belong to at this point are: my own, The Axe House (not for the faint of heart), and a private forum, created by ex LPF people. This place is pretty cool too. I was a member of the old Gibson forum as well. Different places, different people, good conversation... Right?

KennyF
Depends on how militant they are with their social/political stuff... The Axe House you say.... Hmmm...... :-) They're a real tight knit group' date=' with a crazy sense of humor and a full tilt, no holds barred political forum... ALL contained in a guitar forum. Great people, but you can't just walk in there with guns-a-blazin', or it's gonna get ugly in a hurray! [img']http://www.lespaulconsortium.com/forum/images/smilies/rotf.gif[/img] The owner of that place (Herc), who is a great guy, won't intervene either. His philosophy is he won't ban you, his members will drive you out. Yup! Pretty cool place indeed. You'd probably love it there. ChanMan
This is it for me, Les Paul wise. I joined the Fender Forum, but practically never post. I joined the Eden Forum, but as it is Bass related, and I am a neophyte bassist, there isn't much for me to contribute there. I also belong to the Ibanez EW forum... but that place is pretty dead. I tried GT and MLP. Never could get into MLP... too huge entirely. GT was great at first, but frankly, the moronic Mods have ruined that Forum. I left the day they announced that a clown and an idiot were taking over for a 14 year old as moderators. Too much like Jr. High for me. I don't log on to argue with kids, and certainly have no desire to deal with their abuses of power. Heck, I got to share my new Strat with you guys... on the Gibson Forum... how freaking cool is that??? Thanks by and large to the EXCELLENCE IN MODERATION shown by Mike@Gibson, I like it here and don't need any others.

They are almost nazi-like in the way they mod that place. I can't believe anyone would want to be a member and anyone would want to sponsor that place. I love this place. The mods stay out of the forum and if they need to step in, they don't do it in public. And people here act like adults and have something to contribute. Tim Plains
ChanMan, which Fender Forum. Not that I want to become an active member there, but it wouldn't hurt in case I have any issues with mine later on. ...and I can post pics in a new place! MikeRom
The Les Pauls section of this forum, the LPF, Epiphone amp section, the Digitech RP forum and this forum. Actually this forum almost seemed like it was going to be one too many .. I used to hang out too at the Hamony Central guitar forums. You wanna talk immature a-holes they got 'em in spades. saturn
This is the only LP forum for me. I've never even been on any of the others unless I clicked on a link that someone posted here. I aslo belong to Fender, but haven't even been on there in months. The one other general guitar forum I like is Guitarists.net. There's a core group over there that seem to dominate, but for the most part everyone is pretty cool.

LPF is losing my interest. I also tried GT, but it didn't catch with me. Gibson Forums is defininetely my favorite. Second is MLP. How many more are there?[/quote'] Well there can be as many as one wants really. Everyone finds their own niche. Here can be fun as also can be the LPF and MLP. For instance The LPF is very rigid when it comes to posting anything that does not contain the word Les Paul. There are some very knowledgeable and nice people there, but for someone like me who plays full time 24/7 for a living, I sometimes want to chill out and not talk guitars, least of all about long neck tenons, whiter than white pickup rings etc etc. for the umpteenth time. MLP contains many of the old guard from the LPF who like me want to talk about everything from Les Pauls to our preference in old single malt scotch and as a forum contains areas with something of interest for everyone. One has to find a place one feels comfortable in. I personally feel comfortable in the MLP forum, where I know many of the guys. Sometimes I come here or the LPF and look for interesting topics. I have also tried Harmony Central, but quite honestly I have never met so many musically uneducated people in one place at one time as there, so tend to give that a wide berth. How many are there? Who knows, or really cares for that matter as long as people enjoy themselves. Phil.
