buchananblues
Hi Guys, Question for you all, will an SG fit into a Gibson Les Paul case? I'm thinking of getting an SG but it does not come with a hard case, a local pawn shop has a Les Paul case (used but at a good price), but before I buy the case, I want to make sure a Gibson SG will fit into it. thanks for all your help in advance. hellion102792
No, Les Paul are fitted for Les Pauls. When I bought my SG there was a used LP case that the clerk told me to try (I was looking for a cheap/used hardshell) and seeing as the SG is thinner than the LP, the neck stuck out of the case. Keep an eye out on eBay, I saw one up there for about $50 a few hours ago (as I'm still looking for one).

Randy1
You will want to get a case that is made specifically for an SG.
SRV-Zeppelin
Not if it's a Gibson LP case. I know a company called... oh, what the h*ll is it... I think it's called.. Ritter?... anyway, they make hardshell cases to fit both Gibson LP and SG styles comfortably. No use for new Gibsons of course since they come with cases, but useful for used guitars or Epiphones. My advice? By a Gibson USA SG case.
