jacqlennon
I have a Historic Firebird III in Pelham Blue that I purchased new in 1999 at the Guitar Center San Jose Ca. I was told that it was a special order that was never claimed. The serial number is 80014 which would indicate to me that it is the first '64 Firebird III manufactured in 1998 (The first year of the Historic Firebirds). Can you tell me any more info about this guitar? Is it really the first one made? Much appreciated. JG Other Historics I own: 99 Firebird VII Historic in Vintage Sunburst 00 Firebird V in Inverness Green 99 Firebird I in Cardinal Red

jacqlennon
Ask and you shall receive. I no longer have the non reverse axes but do still own the '70's Lawsuit era Tbird II bass. It looks like the real deal but has a set neck.
Malchik
I adore the Firebird I. I wish Gibson would reissue some of their single pickup model guitars.
jacqlennon
I adore the Firebird I. I wish Gibson would reissue some of their single pickup model guitars. Dave's Guitar in Wisconsin had several brand new Custom Firebirds for sale including the FB I. I think it was $2,799...just checked it must have sold. They were all brand new so I think you can order an FB I brand new again. Here are links to their other Historic Firebirds: http://davesguitar.com/gibson-custom-shop/1964-firebird-iii-13932.asp http://davesguitar.com/gibson-custom-shop/1965-firebird-vii-12207.asp http://davesguitar.com/gibson-custom-shop/1965-firebird-vii-12207.asp

jacqlennon
Flickr does not give me the IMG code. Tried to manually add the IMG tags but got an error message that that tag was not allowed on this board...oh well.
