boatmanexpress
I have an '83 Flying V. It only has a pick guard around the volume pots and pickup switch. I have never seen a V with this kind of "partial pick guard. It appears it came from the factory that way. Anybody ever see one like this or have an information on it..? Space Pup
How long have you owned this guitar? I don't believe that is a factory pickguard. Gibson pickguards don't cover the whole "wing" like that. Look on the back of your V. If there is a plastic cover over the control cavity where the electronics were installed then this model was originaly made without a pickguard. MReynolds
There shouldn't BE a control cavity on the back on a '83 V...I have one and the cavity is on the front covered by the pickguard.
