fretplay
Have any members come across a Gibson ES 346 and if so how do you rate its sound quality and playability. Any idea how much I should play for a second hand one? Thanks for your help.
Pin
I've seen one and briefly heard it play but can't really give an informed comment. I do know that they are a very high quality guitar (custom shop) with a through neck and CNC machined out body. No idea really about price but I think you would talking low $thousands unless it was really knocked about.
JazzGtr
I own the custom version; CS346. The sound quality with the Gibson 57 is great. Fast, low action, easy to to play, punchy clear mid-range tone (Pat Martino) and high output. Jazz, Blues, Rock, Fusion are her strong musical genres. Add overdrive and this thing sings. Not like a PRS but more like a mix between a LP and 335. A used, good condition ES346 : $1,500-$1,800. She's a keeper! Jazz
vincentw
I've had my eyeon the Pat martino model for a couple years now. Not a fan of the headstock design but everything else about it is incredible for the price.
