charlie brown
I've always wondered, since the introduction, of the Royale series, why they didn't make a Sheraton version???! Seems like a no brainer, to me! I know I'd buy one, for sure! CB
Bender 4 Life
amen CB !! i'd want one as fast as they could ship it to me! and "Dear Epi" since it's a limited Edition, why not make it a Sans II version with Mini'buckers and a Frequensator TP ?? i've been good all year and i'd be good for the rest of...... BillyGibson
Bling with more bling. Excellent.
charlie brown
Yeah, it seems like it would be natural, to make a "Sheraton Royale," given it's (already) serious "bling" factor. ??? CB
Blueman335
I bought a Dot Royale. A Sheraton wouldn't be any different except for bigger fret inlays, which isn't enough to justify another Royale model. Why not get a Dot Royale?
charlie brown
The Sheraton has multi-ply binding (front and back), bound fingerboard, and the fancier headstock, with "vine" inlay, and binding. So, there's quite a bit of difference, from a "Dot." Whether you like that, or not, is up to you. But, I think it's just as valid, to bring out a Sheraton Royale, as it was to bring out a "Dot" version. But...maybe because of the multi-ply binding, it's not cost effective, to do the gold-glitter binding, on a Sheraton? That might(?) explain, why they didn't do it??? Only Epiphone, knows that, for sure. I still think it would make an excellent addition, to the Royale line. CB
clarkuss
100% agree. Stupid they did not add it in considerng the simplicty of making one. Would command a higher price and I know people would buy it.
charlie brown
What would be fun, if they (eventually) offer one(?), would be to put some TV Jones "Filter-Tron" pickups, in it! I'm almost tempted, to get the "Dot" version, now, for that very purpose. I really don't need another Humbucker equipped guitar! But, at Dot Royle, with Filter Trons, could be killer! OR...maybe, a P-94 & Filter Tron, combo? Who knows? CB

charlie brown
maybe you should check out the Swingster Royle CB it seems to be similar to what you mention. Actually, I have...thanks, Whirligig. Nice guitar, but I like the size, double cutaway, and look, of the Dot and/or Sheraton, more. That's just me, and not a reflection, on the Swingster, in any form. I just think it might be "fun," to put some TV Jones Filtertrons, in a Dot or Sheri...especially with the "Royale" treatment look. Seems almost "natural," in a way, to me. ;>) Maybe, it's a more economical "White Falcon," thing? LOL CB
mydeadblues
Here's my 90's MIK White Sheraton...essentially the same thing as a royal would be I think. White one's like this pop up on eBay from time to time so if you're really gassing over a royal esque Sheraton keep an eye open for a older one.
