lagerfanny
Been through a couple of sets of Brite Wires & D'Addario's since I've had my Explorer with Brite Wires being my favorite. (D'Addario's somehow feel greasy to me after a short while). But put on a set of Elixir Nanoweb Anti-Rust earlier today and was shocked to hear how dull they sounded. Like really nasty, almost flat without any chime or resonance. So there're now in the bin with my much preferred Brite Wires in place. WELL DONE GIBSON! Morkolo
Could be a difference in the batches but the Elixer's I put on my electrics have always been really bright with an added bit of clarity that only seems to come from a coated string. Shnate McDuanus
Actually, I like Gibson Brite Wires too. They're good strings. For the past two years or so I've been an EB Slinky stalwart, but there have been periods when I used and liked the Gibson strings.
