AJ in Mahogany, Short Scale

Sold my Custom Shop AJ (Adirondack top, 1.77" nut width) and was looking for something in mahogany with that old Gibson sound...

My intent was to wait until the right one came along... saving up my money for a good vintage J45 or the like.

Then I stumbled upon a Custom Advanced Jumbo in hog with a short scale... I figured with the AJ advanced x-bracing it would have a great chance to be a wonderful guitar... we'll see! The dealer in TX says this one only weighs about 4 pounds. The price was right and AJ's are, well... absolutely beautiful guitars.

Can't wait!

So it's similar to a J-45 TV, but with arrow inlays, a different pick guard, thicker back braces (perhaps), and maybe sitka, and not red spruce.

I have a the maple bodied-twin to yours: short-scale maple AJ. I bought it because there wasn't a maple J-45 at that time. It's a lovely guitar. Hope yours is too.
