fairlanericky
Can anyone enlighten me as to whether the early Studios, '83-'86 had Maple or Alder caps and Maple or Mahogany necks?
BigKahune
. Maple top. The maple top on the Studios is 1/8 of an inch thinner than other Les Paul models. Originally the necks were mahogany - since certain models are maple like the Raw Power. Originally there was the Studio, Studio Standard and Studio Custom - the latter two had binding available. BobB
When the Les Paul Studio was introduced in 1983, the body was alder. By 1986, the body was mahogany.
