knuckles
I was wondering if the ES-339 can be played unplugged to practice? Let me ask it a better way, does it sound good or at all when playing it unplugged. Thanks
KennyF
Kind of a tough question. If the spirit of the question is; "Is it loud enough and pleasant sounding enough to practice with unplugged"? "Then the answer is; "Ahhhh, sure"... If the question is; "Does the unplugged sound resemble that of a Martin D41"? Then the answer would be; "No"! If the spirit of the question is; "Is it loud enough and pleasant sounding enough to practice with unplugged"? "Then the answer is; "Ahhhh, sure"... Yes. This was my question. I mainly practice at night when my kids are sleeping and I wanted to be able to practice and hear it, but I dont need it to boom acoustically. Thanks for the reply. By the way I have tried to get my hands on one to find out, but no one has one in stock around me, but they sure do want to order one for me. jeff_farkas
I just got one and the answer to your question is Yes... you can practice easily without an amp and still hear it or you can get a vox headphone amp. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Vox-Amplug-AC30-Headphone-Amp?sku=481676 I'm going to get one soon for quiet practice. knuckles
Ok, that is all I needed to know. Now I just have to be able to wait for my year end bonus to order it. Anyone know if there is a wait on these once they been ordered. I have looked and it seems that I still have to get it from musicians friend and the website shows in stock. bobv
I got mine from Guitarsale and they selected the type of grain pattern I was looking for out of the ones they had in my color.
KennyF
Another vote for guitarsale.com. Ask for Scott Weinmann and tell him that KennyF from the LPC sent ya. He'll hand select one for you, email pictures if you want, give you an in hand description and you'll have it in two days.
