I'm in the market for a new amp ($250 is the most i'll spend), and what was wondering what do the good users of this forum use! I have a 15 watt amp but I want something with a little more punch and can get good distortion and good clean sounds. Something like this:

I have an Epiphone Casino, and I'm going to some guitar shops tomorrow to look around. Any suggestions? [biggrin]

well i spent i think around 400 dollars on the VOX VT100... but they do have smaller variations of the amplifier the Vox VT50 for 260 dollars... its a 50 Watt amp. Its also a Hybrid Amp so you get all the different amp models Vox has created over the years digitally stored into the amps memory but its powered by a Tube. So you get the Warmth of the sound via the Tube yet you get many different features including some effects like Chorus, Delays etc... i love my amp it simply is so versatile

If you are in the market for used, I've always been partial to the Peavey Classic20 and Peavey Classic30. Nice tube sound (because it has tubes). The 20 is deceptively loud and it sounds great through a 4x12. I've had 3 of them over the years. The 30 is a great amp, for the money, too.

Zero, if you can possibly hold off until you save up another $50, I would highly encourage you to have a look/listen at the Fender Mustang III. I own the Mustang V half stack (same amp, just 150 watts and a 4X12 cab), and I am insanely happy with it.
