How many Buckethead Signatures?

Hi folks,

I bought a Buckethead Signature 4 weeks ago.

The guitar is awesome, but the color is not so cool...

After 3 hours playing in daylight - the guitar isn´t still virgin white... now it is vintage white...!!

Be carefull with sunlight!!!!

But, the sound and playability is still pretty cool!

Is there somebody how knows how many signatures of this type are manufractured?

Sorry for my bad english.

All the best to you from Berlin / Germany

Gibson won't divulge this information but I would guess there were less than 5000 made. Probably much less.

The first 50 had different binding and tuners to the remainder.

It's a killer guitar, easily the best value Gibson around :)

Do you know how I could get that information? What kind of serial-numbers are the 50?

What is different on the binding and the tuners?

I´ve heard that they build only 500 pieces. 5000 sounds a lot...

But, that is really doesn´t matter to me. The guitar sounds great and it is the best Gibson guitar I hold in my hand ever.

Kind regards,

I think I recognize the op's guitar from a youtube video...I noticed it dulled rather quickly..maybe the nitro didn't cure properly before they shipped it out? There was another Buckethead signature les paul on ebay last month that had a yellowish ring on the back of neck from being on a stand. I have one ordered myself from musiciansfriend...it's been on back order but they say they're getting eleven from Gibson at some point. The last update is around March 2012...
