Ken Rayba
Is there a "standard" pole piece height for P-90 pick-ups? I know for humbuckers, from what I have read the standard height adjustment from the pick up to the string is 3/16 on the rhythm pick up, and 1/16 on the treble pick up. Since P-90's are different, should that height setting be the same to get the best output, or is it more or less hit and miss?
jimmyjazz
Great question. To close: muddled.....To far away: no clarity.... Is anybody alive out there?....
marvar
IMO, you should adjust to suite your own taste. It can take some time to dial in any pickup, you just need to keep experimenting, making mental notes as to what does what- Then you have to balance the height between the neck and bridge pickups. It's really all personal preference.
