Hello everyone I am new to the forum and to guitar playing. I am looking for that elusive Betts,Allman,Trucks etc.. tone. I just bought a new Gibson SG Standard and an Egnater half stack. I have a Fulltone OCD and Boss BD-2 Blues Driver pedals. I have ordered a Weber MiniMass attenuator also.I read on Learningguitarnow.com where this guy used the OCD pedal and an attenuator plus a enclosed box for the amp to get a similar tone. Well i have the guitar and the OCD pedal minus the attenuator and its not even close. I may build an enclosed box next for my amp so i can crank it up without blowing out my ear drums. Does anyone have any other suggestions like should i swap out my stock 490 pickups for some 57 classics? Or should i consider buying a new tube amp head? Thanks for any suggestions!
