I tried a friend's Godin 5th Ave. Kingpin today... it was the neck pickup only version, it played nice and sounded even better than I expected. I'd wanted to try one for months and after trying that one I have major GAS for the 2 pickup model.

Anyone here own one?

Any known issues? Is the case they come with any good? (looks a little weak IMO but lots of classical players use those cases).

try one with fuzz!

I want one to set up for slide guitar, they sound wicked. I got kicked out of (well, kindly asked to leave/stop) for playing with feedback from that guitar, they are super rad

.

About I year ago I was going through a selection process on the II. My local shop - Elderly - had four of them in stock. They were all nice, and a couple were really nice. I like the Cognac Burst finish, but I didn't get a look at the cases. I think it's a very nice guitar for the money. Another opportunity came up with buckers and I ended purchasing that. I still check those every time I visit the shop. One of these days those P90s are gonna get me.
