Slash Epiphone Goldtop how to tell if it's fake?

Recommended Posts

If it is new, like the seller said, it should have the COA, IMO

ask for more pics, especially the backside of the headstock,

and opend control cavity....

....and Welcome here [thumbup]

Ok, thanks! asked for more pics, I will post them when I get them. [biggrin]

Nothing about the guitar itself sticks out to me, except for the stickers and things still being on it.

The lack of COA seems odd. That's the kind of thing I'd hold on to.

I don't think the price is all that great either...

You won't get SLASHTONE from it 'cause it's not a, well, um, real.....

Buy it if you have an Appetite For Fake Construction.......

Don't touch that one either!

The EE is too large. It should be the same size as all the numbers in the serial.

And the knobs... they don't look right to me either.

Compare with this one:

The first one was re-listed Oct.25 (today) for $1700 and no COA?

The second one is straight up Doggy-du-du.

Fakes come out of China for $300 with case. Your choice...Gibson or Epiphone headstock.

And no! I am not divulging the website although I'm sure many have seen it.
