yoinrune Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 hi guys! I will buy a Gibson J45 TV, but does not come with Gibson owners manual. Is the manual in pdf? Is it important to have it? What comes in the manual? Cheers!
onewilyfool Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Well...I've had my J-45 on Tonerite for 72 hrs...and it IS sounding good!!!
yoinrune Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 I'm wondering about the manual, not the guitar.
rar Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, it's not much of manual -- just a little flyer with the basics of guitar care and maintenance (how to put on strings, advice to buy an appropriate humidifier if you live somewhere that you need one, etc.) If you don't already know this stuff, you can find it on the web or in books such as this one. -- Bob R

By the way, does anyone know who has the true vintage strings?. And the best for the j-45? Oh, one more thing, why do some j45tv have the custom shop logo on the headstock and not others?
EuroAussie Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Lets put it this way ... the manual aint going to make you a better guitar player.
vincentw Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I understand why manuals are a concern for people who like to keep all the case candy with the guitar. I don't think there is an official manual being sent for acoustics.
ParlourMan Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 The original run of 167 J-45TV's had the custom shop logo, since then it's become a standard production model as part of the True Vintage series, the other True vintage models are now standard production also, only the original runs of the J-45, Hummingbird and SJ-200 has the CS logo. (according to the Gibson blurb)
