Denis57 Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Another Angie very well played on a very nice Gibson
retrorod Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Sweeeeeet! A very nice bluesy rendition of "Angie" I like a good song when played with 'attitude'....no matter what the attitude.... At first I thought he was playing "Angry"....
Denis57 Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 Actually, I'm not sure it's the Angie we know and love. Still a very good piece
BigKahune Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 . Kinda like the Paul Simon version. Very nice.
j45nick Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 That's "Anji" or "Angi" to you Davy and Bert fans.
MissouriPicker Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Whatever it is, it is pretty cool. Very bluesy tone from a great sounding guitar.
BigKahune Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 . Here's Graham playing his composition, and Simon (who says Graham taught him the song) and his brother Ed playing Anji http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n8cxvzol3E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hokYyir4U7c
retrorod Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 One has just got to love all the "adoring, goo-goo eyes" made by the female audience in the S&G clip! Ultimately, the MAIN reason most of us males just had to learn to play guitar! And yeah, great song and classic video...

E-minor7 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Amazing to see Simon & Garfunkel suddenly replaced by 2 drops of water Simon & Simon. And this Ed can play. I've noticed his names on many Paul Simon records, maybe he became a manager or something. Love the clips of the audience – especially the restless girl-hands as they try to find the groove. Did you hear the brothers split-second-touch Day Tripper. A little nod to the latest Fab-4 hit, I guess. This must be 1965.
vincentw Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 the Paul Simon footage is amazing. Thanks for posting.
