What glue? If it residue behind the plastic washer, it's not glue. Just polish it. I use a fine metal polish. But it's just dirt normally.

My LP 100 had glue behind the washer, and I just used Goo-Gone to remove the residue. Granted, that was a MiK Epi (1994), and I don't know if Gibson ever used glue to hold them in place, but there you have it.

Angellus Posted October 28, 2011 Author Posted October 28, 2011 ok i can see what the issue is, after the dirt has all gone it seems like the toggle switch and washer were fitted when the nitro wasn't fully dry. there is a ring left and almost air bubble like marks
