DiamondJig Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Saw a used Marshall JTM45 (2246) RI at my local GC, always wanted a low wattage 4 input Marshall, plugged in and she sure did sound sweet. They said it was modded with a MV on the back which worked fine, they used one of the speaker outputs. I traded in some gear and took her home The next day after play'n with her all night I undressed her to see the MV mod and to my surprise found a totally rebuilt amp Mercury Magnetics Axiom power and choke, hand wired board with SOZO's, came setup with JJ KT66's, sweet.
Dub-T-123 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Wow man. That is sexy. As much as I love pedals, it would be real easy to just plug straight in to that and rock out. Awesome amp!
stein Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 SCORE! Are the reissues hand wired or circuit boards?
Dub-T-123 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 You can wire a printed circuit board by hand. This is turret board. I'm not sure when hand wired started meaning the same thing as turret board. But maybe I'm over-analyzing this.
dbreslauer Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 that looks very cool. It looks like someone built a JTM clone, and put it in a Marshall chassis & box. I'm using Sozos in the Marshall 18W I'm building myself: enjoy! Don
