yoinrune Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 What is this? What is ''j45tv red spruce promo''¿? j45tv red spruce is equal to adirondack spruce top? And J-45 LTd = V.o.s ? I'm Confused.
j45nick Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 You may need to explain here. I have no idea what you are talking about.
jchabalk Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 it's possible he's talking about the first run of what became the J45TV Ltd. i think they were from 2008 or so. there was a somewhat small run of them made with Red Spruce tops. a few people on the forum here have one, myself included. it's a fantastic guitar for sure. The label just says J-45
yoinrune Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 In a shop in my town, sell a j-45 qualified as ''Red Spruce Promo''. What the hell is Promo?? They say that Gibson sold under that name with a black case, not brown/pink.

E-minor7 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Questionmark = How do you turn your questionmark upside down, questionmark. It's iconoclastic and blows a little corner of my mind – I'd like to learn. . . ThankYou

E-minor7 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Em7, he is probably using a Hispanic-language keyboard. Hispanic – do they feature upside down possibilities ? I'm all blank here, but sometimes need more expressive keys myself. Just checked and clearly see the acrobatic sign to the upper right. What does it mean ? "The universe is expanding - "

E-minor7 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Fantastic Annes – you just opened a treasure vault for me. You receive a green lantern for that, , , and a purple ♥

It's iconoclastic and blows a little corner of my mind – I'd like to learn. . . ThankYou Em7, don't you have the "invert character" key on your keyboard? That's what I use! I checked every font style in Wordperfect & I couldn't find anything with an inverted ? either. Found some really good ones in the Wingdings however. Aster
E-minor7 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Em7, don't you have the "invert character" key on your keyboard? Hehe, , , well I have everything now – I can spend the whole winter diving into this. . .
Lars68 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 If I'm not mistaken, in Spanish a sentence which is a question will start with an inverted "?" and end with a normal one. This is to indicate to the reader that a question is coming. Now back to guitars: I'm pretty sure the "promo" means the first run of J-45 TVs. Didn't those guitars even come with a bunch of promo items, including a jacket and more? Lars
ParlourMan Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I'm pretty sure the blurb claimed it was an initial run of 167 pieces for the J-45, Hummingbird and SJ-200 TV lines. They came with a case, case-cover, Gibson jacket and leather bound booklet/certificate. The jacket was a major fashion no-no though, not even to my bed in the middle of a black-out would I don such a piece ;) Guitars look ace though, I just recently picked up a SJ-200TV from the standard line, I'd be curious to see one from the Ltd Run to compare them.
yoinrune Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 ajam....I understand. the serial number says it was manufactured on: 9/18/2008. and comes with a black case, not brown.
jchabalk Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 mine's from right around the same time. it's called a "J-45" on the label but is what the J-45 Ltd eventually was. (J-45 TV with Red Spruce Top). Mine also came with just the standard Black case (blue interior and hard plastic squared off handle).
