moej45 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My post...I think dissapeared? Dunmo./...anyways wrote this the other day qucikly so all the lyrics arent fleshed out but the chorus is complete Also, pretty excited as I just met with the engineer and producer who are going to work on the album with me http://soundcloud.com/brendanahern/lost-and-found
AnneS Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Nice! Love the guitar part--muted but expressive. Great sound you've got going there! Congrats, too, on getting a team together and moving forward with your tunes--
MissouriPicker Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 yeah, the guitar part is pretty contagious. And again, your voice is ideal for how you express yourself through your songs. Some people sing the words. You sing the feelings.
moej45 Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 Thanks Anne and MP....love the feedback
MissouriPicker Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 This is just my viewpoint, and your's is certainly the one that matters most in this---BUT, I wouldn't let anyone change the "sound" that really is your music. Your voice is very good in creating and keeping a very human feel to your music. Again, this is simply my view. I'd avoid overlaying harmonies to your voice. Your voice is real good for your music. Don't try to add or take anything from it. Plus, I think the guitar matches-up well with it. ....Anyway, keep us updated on your CD. It sounds interesting, my friend.

At some point and for the right song, you might find the 'perfect' female voice to sing with--but I'd advise (and I echo MP's comment that your viewpt matters most!) that you wait for the right song and the right voice for even that experiment... But then, I'm no producer (and i don't even play one on TV )...
EuroAussie Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I agree with others, the guitar part is pretty contagious and has a great sliding groove to it. Your vocals suit the melody and overall the tune has a great laid back feel. I really enjoyed it, got my toes tapping for sure !
moej45 Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 Thanks guys. Yeah...the whole feel of the album is going to be very stripped down...light accompaniment....some percussion, perhaps bass and for instruments guitar, banjo, mando....and sparse offering of each
