Californiaman Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 That's too bad. Wonder what caused Mr. Smoot's demise? Hey check out the headline immediately below this news story. Axle Rose says that Slash used to piss his pants all the time. :o Them's fighten' words! Guess they won't be getting back together too soon.
FirstMeasure Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 What a Shame. I had a Girlfriend back in the 90's that was a complete GWAR head. Hope they keep going.
ShredAstaire Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 They'll keep going. Its too bad....he's a great player. Their last two albums have been great. I was never a big fan back in the day but their 2010 album Lust in Space blew me away and i still listen to it often. They got WAY heavier!! RIP dude!!!
damian Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Perhaps Halloween was too much for him.............. ...... Actually, that's a d*mn shame......Way too young.......I actually thought very highly of what they did..... Very smart businessmen...............Which is actually 75% of what it takes to be successful these days.... RIP...........Darn shame........
Morkolo Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 That's a real shame, I didn't know what to think of them until I saw them on Jerry Springer and they were hilarious.
This_Dying_Soul Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 GWAR are the best thing to happen to shock rock since Alice Cooper. Shame about the loss of Mr. Smoot. RIP My Favorite GWAR moment was also on Springer if I remember right. A mother who's son was a GWAR fan accused them of corrupting the minds of the world's youth... The singer's response - "If you raised your son right in the first place, he wouldn't be a GWAR fan!" ...classic... and probably a bit of truth behind it. But then, I like GWAR and I turned out fine. ~looks over his shoulder at the life size Frankenstein and Ghostface in the dining room~
jnastynebr Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Too bad. I was never a huge GWAR fan, but if they rolled into town, you bet your sweet *** I was at the show.
This_Dying_Soul Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I missed GWAR last year twice. once when they came on their own to a local club and I never knew they were here until a week later , and the second they came as the opening act for Megadeth, Slayer, and Testament. I couldn't afford to go to the second one.
