Californiaman Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Check these out. I've bought several of them in different styles. But then again, that's how I roll. Great Shirts
Thundergod Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Those look great... how much are they? And where do I buy them online?
Riffster Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 The link is in the post. Needless to say these type of shorts are popular here in Nashville, they sell a lot of styles on Broadway by the Honky Tonks but it is better to buy at western stores that don't upcharge for tourists. The only thing about these shorts is that because of the heavy embroidery they use thicker fabrics sometimes, if you live in a hot place just be careful with that.
Californiaman Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 I put the link in at the bottom of the post. But here ya' go. Vintage Western and Rock-a-Billy Shirts

I have found them at Boot Barn and Carrs Western Wear here in Santa Maria, CA. The last one I ordered came from the link I just posted. Here are the last two I purchased. I own the black with copper embroidery. And I couldn't pass up the Skull and Roses.
Riffster Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Really cool, I have a friend that has like 10, from minor to major embroidered motifs. I have only one but the reason is that every time I see a design I like my size is not in stock.

I have only one but the reason is that every time I see a design I like my size is not in stock. That's my problem. I'm a XXLTall or XXX so sizes are usually hard to come by. I have found some XX that fit nicely though. When I see 'em in my size I try to justify buying them. People I meet say that I look good in them and they're very comfortable too.
damian Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Dang, that link hurts my eyes !!!!!!! I do like that shirt though.......Looks like a Gretsch Sig shirt.........
Searcy Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 HA! Those are nice. Be careful though. Wearing a shirt with MC on it into the wrong bar can be a problem.
Jon S. Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Very nice!! The Skull and Roses shirt looks mean!!
Daryl M Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Love 'em. Of course, I still love the rhinestones and bling that everyone from Gram Parsons to Little Jimmy Dickens used to wear, too.
TommyK Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I'm not one for sporting skulls. I do like the copper one. At first glance it looks like tooled leather. Cool.
Jantha Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I don't mind the skulls.. don't care for the devil sh*t though. The copper embroidery does looks pretty sweet.
milod Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I almost hadda laugh. It's more what I consider faux cowboy rather than what you see sold here where the guys know they'll have green mud on their boots. In fact, when I lived in Memphis almost 9 years, I never wore boots or hat that were and are again pretty much what I wear every day. But then... even the ranchers who consider their graze by "sections" don't dress up much although they spend quite a bit on hats, boots and work chaps. My "winter" hat is over 20 years old, ditto my "go to a fire or some other nasty environment" hat. Texas may be diff. I know some real "cowboys" from Cali who are lookin' to retire elsewhere. m
EVOL! Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 To much devil supporting for me I don't mind the skulls.. don't care for the devil sh*t though. I disagree. The 666 stuff makes it for me. Pair that with the skulls and it has that Day of the Dead flavor. Like Danzig mixed with a twangy Gretsch.
Silenced Fred Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I don't mind the skulls.. don't care for the devil sh*t though. The copper embroidery does looks pretty sweet. if i was into those shirts, i would rock the hell out of those. however, i'm a t shirt and hoodie guy. still cool though
Californiaman Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 This is my next shirt. I love the Dia de los Muertos Skull on the back! Oh, might as well go all out and get this too.
damian Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I don't get the "DEVIL" references referred to in these shirts.......I just don't see it..............Not at all.....Please explain ???? Jesus would wear one of these shirts.......
milod Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Damian... Maybe he would if he went to a rodeo - but not regularly for working cattle. <grin> m
damian Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Damian... Maybe he would if he went to a rodeo - but not regularly for working cattle. <grin> m ...... ....... .....................I've heard stories about sheep tenders....ah, he wouldn't understand..... .....
milod Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 It is said that one must need be careful of similar comment in some saloons around here, in Scotland and in Oz... <grin> Not that I've ever heard any horrid jokes along those lines. Certainly not. m
FirstMeasure Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I'm really liking that Black and Copper one.
