Looking for Information about an Les Paul Studio

I was in a pawn shop earlier, and I saw a Les Paul Studio, I wanted to find out a little more about the guitar before i actually bought it, ie, the actual model, in case its not a studio and someone just put a studio truss rod cover on there

Any information you can give me would help, thanks

You cant tell model info from the serial number. That only tells you the factory, date and production number. You will have to describe the guitar and explain why you think it may not be a Studio.

The studio could have either dot inlays, or the traditional trapezoid style, but it will not have any binding on neck or body, will have a set neck, and a carved top. Try looking at some on ebay....see if they look like what you saw. :)
