Thermionik
*Stands up* Hi, my name is N!k and I have a guitar problem. I have more debts than I have money so can't really afford to buy guitars. But I do. So I keep buying cheap rubbish and squeezing good sounds out of it. I know if I stopped for a few years I could save up and buy a good guitar - but every time a see an old dog guitar..... it comes home with me. *Sits down*
jeff_farkas
** Stands Up *** HI my name is Jeff and I'm hooked on guitars.. It's been 4 days since my last guitar purchase and I feel a bit better. The shakes are just about gone and things are looking a bit better. I'm hoping with the grace of God and GA that this was my last purchase and I can move on with my life. ** Sits down ** Jeff

Tim Plains
OK, this is quite funny... The fact that I started this thread at around 9:00 THIS MORNING and couldn't even make it one full day. I had no intentions of acquiring a new guitar today, but my fiancé bought me a historic SG. HeadCase
It's been 2 weeks for me. I think my GAS is almost cured.... almost. The only plank I'm interested in is a 2009 R9 or 50th Ann. R9. Of course that depends on weather or not the specs change. Rumors say somethings gonna be new, if not, I'm done. I played a 50th R8 and aside from the Murphy treatment it was no better than any of my other Historics. The price sure was HIGH though. Honestly though.... I hope the 2009 R9s are the same as the current Historics, it's really my only hope to be cured... Be strong brothers! Nice SG ya got there R9, just in time for the up-coming AC/DC tour! NeoConMan
<Stands up> Howdy! I'm Neo and I haven't bought a guitar since my Goldtop LP in April. I've resisted the temptation to purchase several Les Paul reissues, but almost fell off the wagon for a used Black Beauty with a Bigsby. I've sold three guitars this year as a sign of fortitude - including a near new SG Classic, an eighties Yamaha SBG 500, and a new Melody Maker. I netted enough cash to replenish the funds for the Goldtop, and I've been strong ever since. Also, the job I'm in now has no overtime until late next year. I'm on 40 hour weeks for the first time in my adult life. @&$><*)($%# IT!!! <Sits down>

NeoConMan
Give it up. You'll never make money in the guitar biz. I've sold a dozen - in perfect condition - and made money on one. :-) Yeah, Tim... The MM finally found a new home!
