ZackR Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I recently purchased a 2010 Les Paul Studio from a used guitar store in town. It has an unusual finish that appears to be stock (serial number is firmly stamped into the finish). It's kind of a matte black, but not like the Gothic series, it is a very thin finish and the wood grain texture is visible. It has chrome tune-o-matic bridge, black pickguard and pickup rings, traditional style tuning keys, and trapezoid inlays. Curious what the stock pickups are as they seem to vary in these types of guitars. These are typical uncovered humbucking pickups with black bobbins. I'll post pictures of the guitar a bit later but thinking someone may know what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance for any information. -Z
GibSinCity Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Maybe this?... http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Studio-Faded.aspx Les Paul Studio- Ebony Satin
ZackR Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 Wow love the look of the stain in the first post, but I'm pretty sure the guitar is the one pictured by LSAR, although mine has a black pickguard as well. The pickups and everything are just like in that photo. Is there a page somewhere on the Gibson site with info for that specific model? Thanks a ton -Z Or this?
