EuroAussie Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 No gig this Saturday nite so myself and the Mrs had a bottle of red and recorded this version of Sheryl Crowe's song Home. All very rough n' ready recorded direct as a single track, but was good fun. Sorry for the string buzz, need to get that fixed, recorded on the J-150 jumbo. All comments welcome as always :-)

EuroAussie Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 . Have you ever taken the Mrs to a gig and let her the mic for a song or two? Indeed. Im always trying to get her to come and sing with us at our pub gigs, but she's sort once in a while kinda girl .. But Ive relayed all your comments and she genuine appreciates it and is a good confidence booster for her, so heopeflly she will go from being once in a while to once a fortnight ;-)

onewilyfool Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Great cover....the only thing better than a guitar player marrying a woman who can sing, is if a fisherman marries a woman with worms..........
EuroAussie Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Cheers Wiley ...you certainly have a way with words, and thats why we love you being here :-) Great cover....the only thing better than a guitar player marrying a woman who can sing, is if a fisherman marries a woman with worms..........

DanvillRob Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 What? You mean you and I were once married to the same woman, and didn't know it? My ex could never get raped....she always gave up too quckly!

EuroAussie Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 Cheers Struma, I hope she will have a crack with us this Thursday nite, all the folks encouragements gave her a happy boost of confidence, really .. :-) EA, that was excellent! She really does have great pipes and she's a good lookin' woman to boot! Yer a lucky d00d! She should definitely be singing out with you at every opportunity!
AnneS Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Not that you (or she) has asked but between this thread and an a couple other recent ones, I find myself thinking how freaking aweseome it would be if you and the Ms worked up this Gram Parson tune. It's one of my all-time favs, and here's Lucinda, with what I think is a perfect take on this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvzJ39m4vsA Then, when you do your world tour...
stein Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 EA, that was excellent! She really does have great pipes and she's a good lookin' woman to boot! Yer a lucky d00d! She should definitely be singing out with you at every opportunity! This. But, I might add that I might Imagine Mrs EA can pretty much do as she pleases. She seems to hold all the cards. I listened to this way earlier but forgot to post. Gwennie was listening as well, and she said "who's that?". Same as the other one you posted, I think with Mrs. EA as well. That's a compliment because she don't put up with bad stuff (or even mediocre) when she is sitting next to me-she makes me turn it off. But..come to think of it, she pretty lucky too. I read the other thread (about seeing Kravitz) and she is right to complain-she has you to compare him to. It gets me the way you play the chord. It's magic, man. MAGIC!!
EuroAussie Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 Anne, thanks a lot for the suggestion. This is a lovelly song and I reckon definitely in the stle that wifey enjoys, meaning moody with moderate to slow tempo. Its also one of those bottle of red wine type songs, but Im not gigging this weekend, the snow has started to fall, so seems like the right scenarion for another session ...:-) Would sound great on the SJ for sure.
