I don't do much else besides work and rest myself. I might even get in trouble because there are folks who want me to do some stuff for them I haven't done yet.

Not much free time on my hands.

But...don't know the nature of the help wanted or what it requires. And, sometimes when there is much for another to gain it would be a shame to turn one's back.

Hi Stein.....I guess the exact help I would need is for someone to actually check out the guitar for me to see if it is ok.....I'm not a stickler on the cosmetics, but don't want any structural problems....ie. neck reset, refret, etc.....Then we would have to figure out how to get the cost of the guitar and shipping up to you....I'm open to input on logistics.....hoping someone can help me, these guitars don't come up often...please let me know if you can help....Wily

Link to the add? Where in Portland?

I don't ship things-not that I couldn't or would'nt, just I have never shipped a guitar. So, I am not hip on cost, who, ect. to get the job done. I would have to be directed.

I do have a good eye for guitars, and a good ear. But I would need to know what guitar it is to be able to say what my level of knowledge may be to know what to check for.

Depending on the value and what level of service you may require, it is possible to hook you up with a dealer here in town as well.

Heller? How you dern?

Did you forget about it already?

Sure you want to ship such a guitar? I don't know what it cost to ship.

I might be able to leave the house, but I have had to negotiate with Gwennie. That part was successful. (I owe her some projects and such).

This is why I love this forum....Stein, out of the goodness of his heart, went over to check on a CL guitar I was interested. Although the seller listed the item as "mint" stein found out that the guitar had a crack on the top that the owner had tried to fix with "crazy glue"???? Also the guitar needed a full setup, etc, etc.....So Stein saved me from making a long distance mistake...so...THANKS STEIN....you are the man, let me know if I can ever repay the favor!!! What a great forum!!!

Glad to help..or in this case, not have to...lol

I guess there really are a lot of sellers out there that actually, well, a few cards short?

If the guy won't even disclose something like an ugly super-glued top to a guy who is going to SEE the guitar and is on his way over, I would hate to think what he would have told a guy he would ship it to.

Turns out, it was a GOOD idea to go see it for someone. Glad to help, no sweat off my back really.
