Gitsimon
I am 99% sure someone asked this before, but I am new and hoping for some help. Love Gibsons and I just decided to get a BFG. Because my normal dealers did not have one and they are discontinued I went close out route from Guitar Centre mail order. Never done this before on a guitar, other than ebay for some trashy strats. My new Trans back BFG is great except I can't get the right set up. This nasty buzzing is all over the place. The only way I can stop it is to set the bridge high and now action stinks. My trusty Epi LP is much better. Any thoughts? neck looks dead straight and I would say no need for truss rod work. Any one else seen this issue? should I put heavier guage strings on Great site by the way. :) Git S
Tim Plains
neck looks dead straight There's your problem right there. If the action is too high for you, loosen the neck a little.
kubog
I am sure that fret dressing will do the trick
elessar820
Good luck with your BFG, while the looks make it unpopular with a lot of people, but I'm a big fan of them and love my Silverburst. I'm itching to get my hands on an Ink one, but a wedding it getting in the way.
