Hi guys,

i´m pretty new here, i have already a Cherry Casino and i´m thinking to buy a Limited Edition 1961 Casino and i´m looking for suggestions and infos. There is someone that maybe can help me out ?

hi there ...it depends of what youre looking for brother....if you play the blues ,country or jazz even classic rock those 61 are amazing ...i own a royal tan ..and to be honest i dont remember a guitar who gave me such a vibe... not talking money here,....the sound is clear , deep,rich sounding (thanx to gibsons p-90s) and the finish (on mine) is perfect not too thick....the guitar is featherlight around 5-6 pounds and it takes high volumes well...( its not feedbacking easily... whatever im not the one whos gotta tell u not to go for the 61 ....even if you play Kurt Cobain style ( actually it will sound good as hell)

Hi many thanks for your response. I must say that i haven´t resist and i have actually already bought one (royal tan) and is arrived on monday. Well your review is spot on mate, i play mostly garage-rock, 60´s and blues and this guitar is simply amazing. I can say without the shadow of a doubt that the anniversary is the best guitar that i have ever bought for the money, the finish is superb (much better than on the pictures on the epiphone site), the neck is a little bit chunkier than the standard one but i really love it. The p90 are amazing clear and the same time deep and really rich sounding. I already own a cherry casino MIC and this one is really superior in every way is possibile IMHO and you can buy it with just € 100,00 more.

Overall the guitar seems built like a tank.

Well to put it clear i fell like a child on the christmas night... [biggrin]

I´ll try to post a couple of pictures in the next day.

 

P.s. sorry for my bad english as italian relocated in germany is the best that i can manage at the moment.
