Hi

I am interested in buying a 1936 Epiphone Triumph and wondered if someone here might be able to give me a ballpark figure of it's value?

Also, I seem to remember a couple of years back there used to be a specific Epiphone guitars forum but don't seem to be able to find it anymore; anyone here know where to find it or if it still exists?

Thank You

Danny, there were several Triumph models - standard, cutaway, and Regent. Here is the current Blue Book valuation, but much depends on the condition of the instrument, current market supply & demand, and a number of other factors, including whether you are purchasing from a private party, eBay, storefront, etc.

Keep in mind that older archtops may have issues that are not apparent on casual inspection. Any older archtop should be purchaed from an established, respected vintage dealer or inspected by an experienced luthier, IMHO.

You have found it! We combined with the Gibson community about two years ago. If you type in the old address (http://forums.epiphone.com) it brings you to the current Gibson/Epiphone forum. [thumbup]
