JuanCarlosVejar Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Guys and Girls , Dave's has TWO really exquisite looking SJ 200's based on 1938 specs . might I point out that one is Rosewood and the other Maple :D . http://davesguitar.com/products/gibson-montana/1938-sj-200-true-vintage-rosewood/

JuanCarlosVejar Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 they screwed up on that reissue from what I see already.. can you guess what it is? I prefer not guess . I'd rather you pointed it out ... I really don't know much about the 37-38 versions and want to avoid sounding missinformed
slimt Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Thats okay , I Understand.. I seem to remember the 1994 Centennial Line up 1938... it had the 6 single Ajustable saddles. I had a couple of original 1938/9 SJ200s , one Rosewood, one maple, they had those as well. That is a SJ200 though in my opinion with the Double Bordered Multi color Pickguard, and The Bound Sound Hole.. One of My favorite Gibson reissued Guitars..

I saw a Gene Autry model with individual saddles :D
CollectiveIntelligence Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 The re-issue seems more similar to my 2010 Gibson J-200 Custom (rosewood) (with the exception of the Adirondack Red Spruce top), than to the original. Cosmetics aside, that is.
