jnastynebr Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Pass. Dang fine playing, my friend, but what defines LP tone is something else for me. Searing HB lead tones take a back seat to sparkly clean mids and slightly dirty necks for this cat.

bluesguitar65 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Thanks! I guess there are many different ways to play a Les Paul, let it be clean or dirty [flapper]
This_Dying_Soul Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 those are all considered Les Paul tone to me It all depends on what mood strikes me at the moment. The basic criteria is there in all those tone types - a nice fat warm tone that sustains for longer than most guitars, even when clean.
tazzboy Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 What amp are you using if don't mind my asking?
bluesguitar65 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 What amp are you using if don't mind my asking? Of course I don't mind you asking. I'm using an Egnater Tweaker 15 watt combo tube amp.
G McBride Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Great skills you have. You seamed a little more reserved playing the LP than the Strat.
bluesguitar65 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Great skills you have. You seamed a little more reserved playing the LP than the Strat. LOL! Yea, I guess I'm a little more comfortable playing a Strat or a Fender for that matter due to its longer scale and I my first real electric guitar was a Fender Strat.
krock Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Great playing and tone. I love the tone you get when amps just start to break up
bluesguitar65 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Great playing and tone. I love the tone you get when amps just start to break up Thanks! I guess that kinda of tone break up will only work with valve amps.
FirstMeasure Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Man,. you're playing is so tasty it's hard to notice the tone, which is smooth as silk.
