.

Welcome.

You could post a couple of pictures here - one overhead shot of the whole guitar and close ups of the front and back of the headstock (no angles). The members here will take a look and post their opinions on it's authenticity.

Or you could send a couple of pictures of the guitar (2mb limit) and the serial number to . service@gibson.com . they should be able to tell you if the guitar is genuine.

Serial numbers on fake Gibsons are almost always copied from real, genuine, Gibson guitars.

There's no way anyone can tell if any 'Gibson' guitar is genuine just from a serial number.

Photographs are a necessity.

Hello! "94023019"? Are You sure? Since 1977 the Gibson serial numbers follow this scheme: YDDDYPPP. YY - for year, DDD is for the day of the year, and PPP is the number of instrument stamped that day. According to this, Your guitar was made on 402nd day of 1993...there are only 365 days a year... Cheers... Bence

Most (should be all) 1994 Gibsons start with 94 in the serial # to notate the 100th anniversary of Gibson.
