ShredAstaire Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 ^^ Exactly...they'd start marketing towards guitar players at some point if they weren't being sued for $57M... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/21/power-bracelets-lawsuit_n_1105559.html?ref=style LOLOLOLOL!!! Ahh psuedoscience... All you gotta do is talking about frequencies, electromagnets and you can scam anyone apparently!
Thundergod Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 A guy I know got a dealership of those things (if their sales system can be called a dealership) and tried to sell one to me and he even said I should apply to sell them at my store, that I would make lots of money on them. When I said "no thanks" he asked me to perform a test without the thing and then with the thing. Their test consists on a series of "exercises" the guy asks you to try, first was trying to remain standing up while he pushed you (from a standing position), second was trying to remain standing up with your arms placed horizontally, while he pulled from one of them, the rest of them were the same type of thing. Of course, when you do them without the thing (first try) you aren't prepared for the force that's being used on you, and so the next time (with the device on one of your wrists) you are prepared for the amount of force he's using (supposing he is using the exact amount of force). I told him I'd buy the lot of them... IF he would ask someone else to take MY test and the wristband passed it (which means, it actually enhances balance and strength). My test consisted of exactly the same stuff his test did, but the first try was with the wristband ON and the subsequent tries were with the wristband OFF. We tried with 13 people and all of them were stronger and better balanced without it, just because after the first try they were ready for the force applied. Just like standing up while a boat or a bus starts to move. You can fall easily, but once you've measured the movement you're good.
Thundergod Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 BTW I consider this a scam as much as selling counterfeit items or receiving Nigerian prince letters. So I don't need to say I'm glad these ****ers are going to have to pay for what they've done.
