Thundergod Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Do you play video games? What console do you use? I was about to buy the PS 3 a while ago and then realized I don't really play much (once every 4 months at most) and so I didn't buy anything. I can't remember the last time I played any games outside of the ones I have on the iphone, I do remember the last console I got is the Play Station 2 (the slim version) and at the time it was great... now with Full HD screens it looks blurry and just wrong so it's not as fun to play with. I loved to play on my last PC, I played strategy games only tho, and I don't really know if there are any good ones for PS2 (are they still making games for it?). When I did play PS2 I played horror games, mainly the Silent Hill series, but I read somewhere the latest (SH8) is PS3 only (no PS2 compatibility) so I guess I won't be trying it out.
DAS44 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I really only have ever played tetris and TF2. I blow at TF2. I don't play either very much anymore, but technically I play once a week or so.. so computer it is As for tetris... I haven't sped this up
Jon S. Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I play online Texas Hold 'Em and Monopoly, but haven't owned a system since the first Playstation came out.
tazzboy Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I used to play but I haven in quite sometime. I still have my old Nintendo and Sega
Morkolo Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 There really should be multiple choices in that poll, myself I picked up a 360 a year ago and play it a bit. Nothing like back in the NES days though.

Jantha Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I have a PS3 because I like a lot of the Sony exclusive games. The online play sucks though. I'd like to have a 360, but I'll wait until the next revision.
Silenced Fred Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 360 but haven't played in about two years. Call of Duty 4 was the **** man, if anyone has it, when i get back in december i plan on re-upping my xbox live and owning n00bs
Morkolo Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 It's multiple choice now. My inner nerd is running free, all we need now is a comic book thread.
Jantha Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 My inner nerd is running free, all we need now is a comic book thread. I've thought about starting one before....
damian Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Pro Tools 9, SonarX-1 Producer, S.D. 2.0, and BFD full Ed...........

LarryUK Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I have two PS3's. But I don't game. I use them as blue ray players and to stream video from my laptop to tv. I've tried gaming, but when you haven't it's so hard. Just like learning to play guitar I suppose.
ShredAstaire Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 360 dem00n...add me to live.... ShreddAstaire :)
DiamondJig Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I play on XBOX Live all the time under DiamondJig. I like shooters COD, Halo then for off line play I like the roll playing type like Fallout.
Thundergod Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 My inner nerd is running free, all we need now is a comic book thread. ...that I can provide too.
Thundergod Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Pro Tools 9, SonarX-1 Producer, S.D. 2.0, and BFD full Ed........... Nuendo, Cubase and Logic here. I have protools but I just hate the stripped down computer version that is available for their hardware, and the HD version is too expensive (and I don't like the interface anyway). Do you produce/record?
dem00n Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 dem00n...add me to live.... ShreddAstaire :) Sure.
MojoRedFoot Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Since being recently separated and moving into my own house, I have embraced bachelorhood and bought the CoD: Black Ops bundle pack for PS3. Been playing MW3 a lot too Now I want a bigger TV.....I now understand what all the nerds have been saying. 40" is not big enough...I want a 55" LCD for the PS3.
surfpup Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Does Scrabble on Facebook count? I was into Wii sports for a while, but I got over it. We also have an Xbox 360 (and an original Xbox too) because my older son likes to blow stuff up. I don't use it though. I don't see how anyone grown up has the time. I count a day lucky if I have time to play the guitar.

And if "Grown Ups" shouldn't be gaming, should they be playing around on the internet with Facebook Accounts and Gibson Forums? 'Cause a Scrabble player on Facebook is indeed in the same boat as gamer on the 360.

I can play a scrabble word or read your post and be back to chasing after the two-year old in a minute or so. I doubt a game console is conducive to that. Contrary to the conclusion to which you have jumped, I actually think gaming would be fun if I had the time to learn and then play the games. As far as the only available choices being watching or interacting with the TV, I actually prefer to turn it off and spend any free time I do get outside. I'd much rather spend my time in/on/near the water given the choice of that or "gaming". My choice.
