RonG Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Trying to put my finger on my new find, information I have: -Gibson Acoustic SN 356317 (1965?) -Cherry Sunburst with 3 point pick guard -Told it is not a southern jumbo
jchabalk Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 hmm, it sure looks like a 60's square shouldered southern jumbo to me. does it have a narrow neck at the nut? Looks like it from the pic but it's hard to tell for sure. nice looking guitar, how's it play?
RonG Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Plays amazing, deep warm tone!! The neck near the nut is narrow I would say. Found it in a used furniture shop.
E-minor7 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I haven't checked the serial #, but it looks like a 1965 or 66 Southern Jumbo. The person you talked to probably didn't know they came square shouldered from '62 and up through the 70's. Totally hip guitar. . .
BigKahune Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 . Really nice looking 60s SJ. Congrats on a great find. . B) .
