Enmitygauged Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Got some new pedals The TC flashback and The TC Dark Matter. Plus I bought the pedal train case and mount rack, Very happy with it nice bit of kit. BTW the Flashback is the best Delay I have ever used and the Dark Matter was enough for me to actually use a Distortion pedal. Im a bit stoked with it all today.
EpiphoneFan1989 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Great I wish, I can own so many pedals in future too.
Dub-T-123 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Happy NPD! The Flashback is a pretty sweet pedal. I wouldn't mind having one if only for the super clean digital delay mode. You've gotta love the pedaltrain too. Those make setting up your rig so much easier.
Enmitygauged Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 Thanks man yeah I'm pretty happy with it all. I am collecting a right angle patch cable today so I won't have that purple fender cable anymore here's hoping for some sweet tunes to come out of it soon
Dub-T-123 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Haha yeah I have yet to get a right angle patch cable for that part. I haven't been using a pedalboard lately though. My pedalboard got too big for my own good so I just ripped a couple of my favorites of and tossed them on the floor. If I may make a recommendation though.. I recommend you put your noise gate before your delay because as the repeats get gradually softer some of the quieter repeats will probably get cut off by the noise gate in an unnatural way. You may also want to put your boost after the distortion but before the delay. That way it's more boosting your guitar and not the delayed repeats. Or if you haven't tried it yet, you may like your boost running into your distortion like how you would run a boost into an amp. But based on what style I assume you're playing, I'd recommend you go guitar > tuner > distortion > boost > noise gate > delay > amp (or ABY box or whatever you've got there)
Enmitygauged Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 Thanks for the heads up. I have always just had it sitting there I leant two pedals out awhile ago the keeley and the ISP and never got them back. So yeah I bought that one yesterday as well. I will give it a try. The delay is really at the moment just for adding a bit more sustain on one song that I do a solo. I use the keeley to boost the volume not to drive the distortion but I can see what you are saying will be worth a try. Cheers man happy Turkey day
Dub-T-123 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Happy thanksgiving to you too! I figured you were using the Keeley for a solo boost, so after distortion but before the noise gate and delay would probably be ideal for that. But of course it's just whatever works best for you. What amp and guitar are you using? Is that an Orange Dark Terror?
Enmitygauged Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 I run into a ta15 transatlantic soon to be a ta30 Mesa. And a HRD. Usually I have the aby as my first pedal and run clean into the HRD
damian Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Very cool and quiet pedals......I plan on getting all of the new line..........
Enmitygauged Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 awesome pedals I added a Slash Dunlop Wah Wah. to the rig just finishes off my setup nicely.
Thundergod Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Cool rig man. Gotta love TC electronic pedals That tuner is the best IMO, I love it, I used to hate pedal tunes until I got that one.
