matbard Posted March 10, 2014 Author Share Posted March 10, 2014 Scusate se vi rispondo in ritardo, ma dopo aver preso la chitarra ho partecipato ad un addio al celibato ad alto tasso metal-alcoolico, con conseguente letargo annesso :D Si è quella nuova. L'ho provata solo in modalità "tradizionale" e devo dire che hanno fatto un bel lavoro. Nella mi abeata ignoranza non capisco che pu ha Abbiamo fatto una replica di una *ender Electric XII nella configurazione del 1968/1969, quella con i segnatasti a blocchettoni ed il binding. Nonostante sia chiara la derivazione dalla famiglia Jaguar/Jazzmaster, questo - da che ne sappia - è stata l'unica chitarra elettrica a 12 corde progettata specificatamente per questo scopo e non un semplice riadattamento di un modello a 6 corde. Leo Fender probabilmente aveva saputo che la sua diretta concorrente californiana dell'epoca, ossìa Rickenbacker, stava lavorando su una 12 corde che era stata messo in cantiere proprio per "elettrificare" il crescente movimento dei folksingers. Pare che Leo facesse girare prototipi nelle mani dei suoi beta testers già dai primissimi mesi del 1964, ma il ritardo accumulato nel cambio di proprietà con CBS ed una serie di ripensamenti sul progetto(dovuti più che altro per contenere i costi...) fecero arrivare i primi esemplari di serie sul mercato non prima del 1965. Purtroppo il treno era già perso, Rickenbacker era diventata leader e nonostante alcuni endorsers niente male, come Dylan, Townshend e Jimmy Page(che in studio la preferivano), la chitarra vendette pochissimo e rimase a listino per meno di cinque anni, fino al 1970. Pare tuttavia che già dal 1968 non se ne realizzassero più e quelle poche che venivano ordinate venissero assemblate con i pezzi accumulati in stock... Siccome per la Electric XII non si trovano pezzi "da assemblare" ready-made, tutto è stato ordinato presso vari fornitori: il corpo, il ponte ed i pickups sono stati fatti in USA su template originali, il manico qui in Italia da Marconi Lab, dopo avergli fornito le misure, il pickguard sempre in USA(ed è il pezzo che mi lascia più insoddisfatto, ndr), le meccaniche sono dell'epoca reperite su eBay, la vernice originale nitro Dupont è stata miscelata da un colorificio di Brescia. Dopo aver preso i pezzi, Claudio "Vintcorner" ha provveduto alla verniciatura ed all'assemblaggio, io ho realizzato il wiring. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
