krock Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Id like a 58 and 59 les paul, a black beauty, 54 strat, marshall bluesbreaker and maybe a few nice lava cables. An assortment of custom pedals and pickups would be nice aswell so I could experiment. So erm, whose buying me them?
S t e v e Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 So erm, whose buying me them? send a letter to santa and hope his sack is big enough

milod Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Hmmmm.... Probably... with cash no object... Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Custom EC - cutaway AE. I think set up for how I play it'd be wonderful. Then... for electric, probably a new 175, ditto on a proper setup. Amplification? A high-end Bose system with sub, plus appropriate mikes and a light cart set up to carry it. For home and backup a DR or Hmmmm. Perhaps a Mustang 3. Then... a good short scale bass, a complete cleanup of my old Bassman head and a very light speaker cab. That, plus what I've already got, likely would take care of anything I'm likely to do. Oh- a nicely portable bar stool and a purpose-converted music stand for a good laptop and USB connection to the amp would add what's missing for handling songlists, performance recording in real time, lyrics for semi-familiar pieces, jokes, etc. I apologize that it's likely not the fanciest sorta setup, but I think it would suit - and anything bigger I might by accident get into would be miked outa the DR or Mustang anyway, and with plenty of whumph for any vocals. m

Jeff-7 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 A Marshall Plexi to run in stereo with my handwired AC30 Black Gibson ES355, Bareknuckle Stormy Mondays, with Bigsby and roller bridge. Gold hardware. Preferably stereo. Morley ABY box SG junior (P90 action!) Telecaster (doesn't matter which I just want one really, nothing special) Jazzmaster Strymon Timeline Bigsound/Smallsound Sparkle****er Boss CE-1 Chorus Analogman King of Tone bullet cables (maybe, haven't tried one but I hear good things) Green Russian Muff EHX Holy Grail J45 That's all I can think of right now... I'm sure there's plenty more that will pop into my head later. As long as we're talking about the sack that carries his toys of course.
damian Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 If I could have my dream rig, I'd give it to SteveJoshLay 'cause he's been good this year............
Guest farnsbarns Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 The original Beano burst. Then I could sell it and buy a nice house, a fast car, some cool threads and loads of nice equipment!
bonzoboy Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 My dream setup would be 3 mid to late 60's Marshall 1959 SLP amps with 6-100W bottoms and a 1964 reverse body Firebird VII with mini-hums.A close runner up would be a '69 1959 Marshall SLP covered in "White Elephant" Tolex and a '64 Firebird VII that I could've bought for just $1,200 in 1975 but I didn't have the common sense to go to the bank and get a loan for it.
FirstMeasure Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 First of all, Santa's bag is Majic, and therefore big enough for any rig. Now that that's been addressed.... A new LP Custom Classic in Antique Natural. An Egnater Tourmaster Combo A full set of cables from Tsunami Cables and an EH Memory Toy or Memory Boy.
This_Dying_Soul Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 First, I'd want a White Les Paul Custom. Preferably the very guitar owned by Randy Rhoads, but since his familily understandably won't let his instruments our of their site (in fact, I believe they are kept in a vault somewhere); I'd be willing to settle for a exact replica...second, see above but replace Les Paul with Jackson RR Custom. 3rd, a Marshall JCM800 full stack, Marshall Class 5 for smaller gigs and studio work, a Marshall JCM2000 2x12 combo for medium sized gigs. A Fender Twin, Princeton and Champ for the same uses as with the Marshalls (for those times when a cleaner tone is required) 4th, Gretsch White Falcon 5th an assortment of pedals - specifics include but are not limited to a Zoom Choir, EH Deluxe Electric Mistress, MXR 10 band Graphic EQ, a Russian built Big Muff and a Crybaby 535Q. 6th an SG Standard - preferably pre-2008 7th, some sort of switching system so that takes all my pedals out of the loop when they aren't in use.
