MissouriPicker Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Found a site with lots of inexpensive used and vintage gibsons. it's gibsonacoustic.net. I'm new to it. Is it trustworthy ? Glad you posted this. Until now, I didn't know the site existed. I'm interested in hearing the views of some folks who are familiar with the site.
Jeremy Morton Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 It looks to me like they are advertising listings that are on ebay. I would personally not mess with the site and stick with ebay if that is your thing. At least with ebay the buyer has some protection. That is my 2 cents anyways. JM
gotomsdos Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 I'm considering buying one of the Gibson J-35s as follows:(If it's available and no problem) Fuller's J-35 http://www.gibsonacoustic.net/for-sale/gibson-acoustic-guitar-for-sale/60605/fullers-gibson-j-35-acoustic-guitar-2 20th anniversary j-35 http://www.gibsonacoustic.net/for-sale/gibson-acoustic-guitar-for-sale/39638/gibson-custom-shop-j-35-acoustic-20th-anniversary-1-20 The former's price is much inexpensive, and it says, "It has good volume with good definition and warmth. ", I feel the guitar's sound is just so so. Now I lean to 20th anniversary, its description is great "Excellent dynamic tone". Is this 1 of 20 (limited editon)? Any suggestions and advice ? Thank you in advance !

JM Yeah, if you click on "More Information," it takes you to the eBay auction. I would not mess with this site at all.
JuanCarlosVejar Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I click "get more info" and it says both listings are expired !!!
Jeremy Morton Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 gibsonacoustic.net doesn't seem to do some with ebay. One of the ads directly states an ebay account, i do not remember which one it was. I was just trying to help you with your initial request for insight from forum members.

Thank you in advance ! Keep in mind that almost no one is going to say that the tone of the guitar they are trying to sell is questionable in any way. Proceed with caution, and as always, make sure there is a good return policy in place before you go for it.
