Jaco Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I've read gibson made standard les paul guitars in the 70's from 1974 and on... But actully I've seen few 73 lp standards around... This one is a 73, black sticker pickups, 1973 pots and all. I just wanted to share with you guys that it's actually a f*** good LP standard anyone else owns one? are they all such great guitars? cause the word around the block is that 70's gibsons are not so popular and I can't see why.. I've uploaded some sound samples of it if you feel like checking it out! My 1973 Les Paul Standard press "next sample" on the player for many more samples... If you feel like it, share your great 70's Gibson here...
L5Larry Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Here's my '75. It's a great guitar. I've owned three Norlin era Gibsons. They were all fine guitars.

Stunning guitar! is it a heavy one? Mine is a 1958 Reissue. It really sounds nice, but it is not a tone match to a PAF equipped real 58 in my opinion, but mine is worth about $5000, not $250,000
