J-185, J-185 EC Differences

Hello,

I recently purchased a new 2010 J-185. When I look up the J-185 specs from the Gibson wb site they are identical to the J-185 EC specs. What does the EC specify and are they the same guitar? When I questions the clerk at Sam Ash where it was advertised as an "EC" that sold this to me he said the J-185 production was stopped in 2010 but has continued on as the EC. Sounded like a load of BS but I cannot find anything online to contradict that. I am just curious to know if there are any differences between the two models and if so what are they.
